Reading “old milon, by Guy de Maupassant” I found out many different traits about Old Milon, but the one that stood out to me the most was that he was clever. In the beginning of the story Old Milon Sheltered all of the Prussian soldiers so that they would think that he was harmless towards them. But little did they know that he was secretly going to kill them. When he killed his first victim he took their clothes and hid them so he could later use them to disguise himself as a Prussian soldier. He also hid the bodies at the bottom of the pond. When disguised as a Prussian he yelled “hilfe” “hilfe”, which means help in German to get their attention, after that he slashed and shot his victims.
